Cyber Security

Computer security, IT security, or cybersecurity is the protection of computer systems and networks from information disclosure, theft of, or damage to their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. 

At the moment there are 3 types of storing data: cloud-base, server-based (also known as hyper-convergent), and traditional.

Cloud computing is the availability of computer system resources, especially data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user (remote control from anywhere, whit only one condition, access to the internet).

Cloud computing, at the moment, is in 4 types: private clouds, public clouds, hybrid clouds, and multi-clouds. But out there, are also 3 main cloud computing services, for example, Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platforms as a Service (PaaS), and the last one is Software as a Service(SaaS). Cloud computing is just as safe as using an on-site computer.(HostGator, 2022)

In cloud computing, security is one of the biggest and most important aspects. There are different types of security techniques that are implemented to make the cloud computing system more secure for example Encryption, SSL(Secure Socket Layer), Intrusion Detection Systems, penetration testing, tokenization, Intrusion Detection System, and the most common that all people are hearing now days is VPN ( virtual private networks).(RedHat, 2022)

Between local and cloud storing, I prefer cloud because of the main benefit, which is convenience, if you have an internet connection you can access your data anywhere.

If cloud computing evolves at the current rate or faster, the demand for hardware will decrease significantly. In 2021, a recent report writes that more businesses in the future, they will adopt hybrid cloud services.

In conclusion, I`m thinking that cloud security will be one of the most important domains in the near future.
